1. Download the CommandIQ app.

2. Select SIGN UP towards the bottom of the screen.         welcome.png           

3. Enter your personal information. The password you enter here will be used to access the app. Please wait at least 10 minutes after your router has been ‘turned up’ before attempting step four.

 

4. Tap the QR code that appears within the app. You will be asked to allow the app to access your camera.

5. Point your camera at the QR Code found on the bottom of your GigaSpire router. Tap OK. Afterward, you may be asked to enter your account number.

6. If you already have OEConnect's managed Wi-Fi set up, tap the "click here to skip" link at the top of your screen. Then enter your current login credentials to proceed. Please note that if you choose to use a new SSID and password, you will need to update it on all your devices.

Battery Backup

Backup Battery $200 +Tax / One Time Fee

OEConnect's voice service utilizes VoIP (Voice-Over-IP) technology which operates differently from a traditional landline. Without a backup battery (otherwise known as a UPS or uninterruptible power supply), your OEConnect data and voice service will disconnect if you lose power.

OEConnect recognizes the importance of your home phone line, especially in an emergency situation. Without a backup battery or alternate source such as a generator, customers will not be able to make calls, including emergency calls to 911. The only way to maintain the ability to use your phone is by using some form of battery backup.

OEConnect’s backup battery does not provide power to any services other than voice. Home security systems, medical monitoring devices, and other equipment will not run on a home phone backup battery. OEConnect’s backup battery will last for up to 24 hours.

Note: that any powered phone equipment (cordless base stations, digital phones) will need to be powered by a UPS during an outage.

You can also purchase a UPS from a retailer such as Amazon or NewEgg. OEC recommends a dedicated UPS for the Fiber phone equipment and our specifications are based on powering only your phone equipment.
