We have been busy catching up on construction deadlines with the New York State Broadband Office over the past few months so our drops and installs were pushed back.  We are happy to report that we have begun the drop and installation process and we have approximately 50 new services up and running in the Laurens area.   So far, the feedback has been great and we are excited to continue connecting new members. We have been making calls to customers in the Laurens substation circuit to collect information and begin doing drops to the homes. It is possible that the drop will be completed and there will be a waiting period before getting the install complete due to not having light at certain locations. We have completed the first phase of construction and will begin the next phase as soon as possible. There is much splicing to be done in all of the circuits so that will be a major focus during the year.  As each circuit’s splicing is done, we will be able to begin drops and installs in that area.  We are also busy doing more communications shelter work to handle the incoming number of members and customers to keep our network functioning and high speeds maintained. There will be a lot of activity in 2019 and we are excited to continue expanding to other circuit areas as soon as we can. The service drops and installs will be done in the sequence of our electric circuits as follows: Laurens, New Berlin, Edmeston, Richfield, Oaksville, Index and Copes Corners.
